Dermal Filler for Hydration (Skinvive™ by Juvéderm®)
For those wanting more glowing, “juicy-looking” skin, the clinic is excited to introduce Skinvive by Juvéderm to our offerings. Unlike fillers used to sculpt the face and add volume back to the skin, Skinvive is an innovative micro-droplet injectable gel to help the skin retain its natural moisture.
This “skin booster” harnesses the moisture-drawing ability of hyaluronic acid to increase hydration in your skin and enhance its texture. Skinvive also stimulates collagen production in the treated area to help improve skin’s elasticity. In addition to helping improve smoothness in facial skin, Skinvive can help treat fine lines in the neck.
Skinvive can also complement and enhance the effects of other aesthetic procedures, such as Potenza™ radiofrequency microneedling, which helps your skin produce more collagen and elastin. (For more information, please refer to the Potenza section under Microneedling.)
After consulting with you to determine if Skinvive is the right product for your complexion goals as well as the appropriate amount to use based on your skin’s condition, Dr. Hermant will inject the product into your dermis using very small injection points spaced very close together in a grid pattern. The filler will then diffuse into the skin, drawing in water molecules to activate hydration. While Skinvive contains lidocaine, numbing cream can also be applied to avoid any discomfort.

The clinic carries Alastin HA Immerse Serum™ and SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier — both of which help increase the skin’s hyaluronic-acid levels over time. Dr. Hermant may suggest additional products and further precautions.
